SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.

Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

PS That’s just a mock cover!!

Finally – a cookbook!

This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.

Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.

Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….

I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!

Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.

So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂

If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.

I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.

So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).

They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!

Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

– Nagi x

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer

I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Dozer sniffing RecipeTin Eats cookbook mock up

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

Steaks have always been challenging for me. I’d love to see recommended methods on how to cook various types of steaks: filet, sirloin, flank, skirt, etc. Whether it be grilling, pan searing, etc. Including whether or not to marinate and if so for how long.

I agree! I love all your recipes, and your blog and Dozer! I have to save your main courses for special treats, so would love your take on some lower fat recipes. And Dozer is our 14-yr-old Crosby’s Australian doppelganger! I can’t believe how much they look alike.

Please include the artisan bread recipe that got our family through 2020! Also the baked poached eggs with spinach and mushrooms.

How exciting. I don’t think you can improve the format you currently use, it’s brilliant, well done you. Recipe favorites have to be Asian, particularly Thai, so full of flavour and quick to prepare but also your roasted veg, cauliflower, carrots etc, delicious and healthy. Can,t wait for the book. (Oh you MUST « pepper » the pages with photos of Dozer). Good luck from an English lady who lives in France x

Hi Nagi! LOVE your recipes and I’ve shared them with many friends/family!
I especially love all your substitutions and recipe notes, as well as the nutrition count.
Would you consider having a section for lower calorie meals/main courses? I mean, under 300 calories! It would be great to have a few higher protein, lower carb meals with your wonderful flavour profile to choose from when not indulging in the rest of the deliciousness! 🙂

Hi, but how wonderful to hear this news!!! I will definitely buy this cookbook from you! I have been following you on Pinterest for a long time now. Never have any of your recipes gone unappreciated in my house. You are innovative, creative and an amazing cook! Through your recipes, your comments, I can feel your beautiful personality and depth. What a joy to encourage someone like you my dear Nagi.
That being said, I must admit that a Quebec recipe might be fun to see in your book, such as our famous Poutine, a pork roast, cretons (that doesn’t exist here), beef stew… A recipe based on our famous maple syrup, such as maple syrup pie, maple cream pudding cake… I now live in Florida, but my heart remains Quebecois lol

I wish you all the best dear Nagi,
      you deserve it.❤️
I will continue to follow you on your journey xxx

Congratulations! I’m a fan of your recipes all the way from South America.
I love your asian recipes, but here we dont have easy access to some of the ingredients, so the “recipes notes” are very helpful to substitute some of them.
That is totally a must to include in your book!
Hopefully it will also be realeased as an Ebook so I can purchse it from here 🙂

    Good morning from Canada!
    So excited about “OUR” cookbook!
Make ahead recipes for a crowd for sure!
Love your notes*, ideas for replacement ingredients pls, or permission to leave out or how to hide something one particular fuss ass family member won’t eat. Like onions, the time I spend chopping onion into the teeniest pieces OY!
Light light light, love butter & heavy cream. However my clothes are fitting like sausage casings! 🙈 lighter alternatives would be greatly appreciated.
Dozer chapter with recipes for our pups!
Gratefully, One of your biggest fans!
PS I will be gifting the hell outta this book,

Oh Nagi – I am so excited you are going to have a cookbook! I read cookbooks like novels. Please have the ingredient lists big and bold for aging eyes. A spiral bound book might cost us more, but is so wonderful. New and old recipes will be great! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Hugs from Indiana

What makes your site unique are the detailed, multi-country specific, Recipe Notes you include for every recipe. Pls do this!

While by definition they would not be ‘new’, you are my go-to for basic, classic Asian recipes. The ones your Mom learned from her Mom before dishes required the spice/herb/utensil/sauce Of The Month. Perhaps consider an ‘Everyone Just Grew Up Knowing How To’ technique to begin ea section? Such as velveting to begin the Stir Fry chapter?

Sending you prayers, patience and lots of luck! 🙂
