SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.

Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

PS That’s just a mock cover!!

Finally – a cookbook!

This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.

Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.

Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….

I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!

Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

RecipeTin Eats Cookbook Announcement

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.

So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂

If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.

I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.

So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).

They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!

Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!

– Nagi x

PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer

I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

Can’t wait for your cookbook! I already have a large file of your recipies, I just find it easier to work from hard copy vs my small phone screen…
I really was fascinated with your weeks worth of recipes and the accompanying shopping list…easy peasy! Perhaps they would make a worthwhile chapter?
Please keep us posted with your progress – what fun!

Congrats! I am so so excited for this! I’ve been telling my fam you need a cookbook every time I make one of your recipes (which is pretty much daily). Our favorite is the chicken shawarma. I would also love to see your dressings in the book. Your herby vinaigrette and the yogurt lemon (for cole slaw) are my go-to.

Congratulations! I can’t wait for the book, I use your recipes weekly and love them.
I’d like to see your breads, especially your easiest yeast bread, and your no yeast bread based on Damper. That bread created monsters at my house, and I still make it every week. It’s a huge hit! I can’t have seafood, so pork and chicken recipes are my favorites, but oh Nagi……your BREAD! 🙂

So excited for you and for me! You are my go to website for dinner ideas so I know this cookbook will be well used in my kitchen. Will Dozer have a section for his treats? He is part of everything!

I think you should do a section on easy, quick and impressive celebration menus. I’ve loved your recipes for big events like Christmas with our family or having people over. It would be great if you could combine some of your recipes into an easy “menu” that flows. ALSO! I love the ideas that others have had about Aussie classics. I also think it would be great if you could include an reference to halving recipes, as I find the “slider” tool on your recipes so helpful, and which recipes are better for halving etc. Also please keep your substitution recommendations! My favourite recipe that I would love to see in the book is the Vietnamese Caramelised Pork Bowls ❤️

Congratulations Nagi on making a book. It will be so nice to have all your recipes in one book instead of a file folder full off ALL your recipes printed off. My file of your recipes alone is easily 3 inches thick.
Please do all Asian recipes especially your chicken satay.

Kia ora Nagi, love your blog. But a cookbook, that’s another medium, I love yr blog as it’s dynamic, updated, and responsive. A successful cookbook for me is: clearly formatted so easy to read on the kitchen bench, a pleasure to read with excellent photos. Recipes are: simple, bright, seasonal, and delicious. I always love it when they’re organised by season. You do meats well, and I love it when you provide loads of veg options as we’re eating less meat these days. More antipodean seafood recipes please!

I am very excited about your (our) cookbook. I enjoy reading your recipes and trying them. I feel like you’re not going to steer us wrong. I trust you and your recipes. For health reasons I am interested in some plant based recipes. This WFPB diet is growing in popularity. I love that you prepare your meals from scratch and you also discuss options for people to consider. The less processed food we consume is much better for us. Keep up the great way you cook and how you present it ♥️.

Congratulations! Oh, whatever happens, it’s going to be great. I’d throw in that definitely info about what to do with leftovers would be very welcome. Does a dish reheat well? Can it be frozen? (and if so, how? and how to defrost? like can it be heated right from frozen, or does it do better being thawed in the fridge?)

Hi Nagi, please include your naan bread recipe, I make it all the time but have to google it every time, also your satay chicken which is ‘the best’- I am always telling others about it – can’t wait to buy it – am cookbook obsessed!

All of your recipes are great. I would like if you could please include recipe quantities for one since dividing by 4 (or whatever) is not always giving best results.
Anything that can be fast and 1-pot at the end of the day is also always welcome. Thank you!
