SURPRISE! I’ve signed a contract for a RecipeTin cookbook! But this won’t be just another cookbook……This is going to be a cookbook filled with new recipes YOU ask for.
Let’s make this cookbook OURS!

PS That’s just a mock cover!!
Finally – a cookbook!
This is real – a RecipeTin cookbook is happening! I’m committed – I can’t back out, I’ve signed a publishing contract with Pan Macmillan, a big name publishing house here in Australia.
Excited, nervous, daunted, scared…. all these words come to mind as I sit here, preparing myself for what will be the the most important and biggest project I have ever undertaken in my professional life.
Which brings me to the main purpose of sharing this news….
I want to make this cookbook WITH you, FOR you!
Let’s fill these pages with recipes YOU want! Mostly new, but even some favourites from the website!

I’m going to be completely honest with you. I am under no illusion about how much work it will take to make a cookbook.
So for me to make this cookbook for myself, because, well, you know, it is kind of an ego boost to see your name on a printed book. That’s not enough motivation for me. I don’t deserve it! 😂
If, on the other hand, I make it for you…….. now THAT is what I call motivation. That gets me excited. That is what will give me the incentive to give this cookbook everything I’ve got, to make it the best it can be.
I want to make a cookbook that you will actually use all the time, rather than gathering dust on the bookshelf.
So tell me what you want in our cookbook! What type of recipes, even little details like adding nutrition information, storage and make ahead tips, or key dietary notes (like gluten free).
They will mostly be new recipes that are exclusively made for the cookbook though I will also include some long standing reader favourites from the website!
Let’s make this cookbook together. Leave your cookbook wish list in the comments section below!!
– Nagi x
PS Reminder – this cover is a fake!! 😂 You know full well I am going to ask for your opinion when choosing the real cover. ❤️

Life of Dozer
I know today’s big announcement is all about me, me, me. But that’s no excuse to skip a Dozer update! Here he is, disrespecting my cookbook already. Or possibly just thinks the photo is real food. It could be either. 🙄

Though he has already expressed he is willing and able to help in any way possible with the cookbook. Thanks Dozer! We all know what your “help” involves….

Wow! I am over the moon at the thought of you publishing a cookbook – would love to get one when published. As to what I would like to see go into it I couldn’t say. There are just so many of your recipes that I adore that I couldn’t choose, so I would be happy with what ever recipe gets put into it. I wish you every success with the cookbook and I hope Dozer gets to do a lot of taste testing!!
You have to include your recipe for Salisbury Steak! Just amazing!
Congratulations to you and Dozer .
Greek recipes including an amazing Moussaka.
Just put all your recipes in a mega packed cook book , they are all amazing,
Congratulations to you and Dozer, I call you my bible to cooking, I love all your recipes. My favorite is your meat loaf and Mac and cheese. Thank you for sharing. Can’t wait to get my hands on your new book.
I love your Asian recipes and would like to see one for Pad See Ewe. More wok recipes, please!
Hi Nagi, I’d love to see you and your mum collabing on some Japanese recipes. RT Japan is so good, love all her recipes and in depth explanations. <3
Congrats, the cover is stunning.
OMG! It has to have the skewered chicken with the peanut sauce! We love that recipe along with anyone that we make it for. Great news!
As regards your new cookbook anything with beef, chicken, salmon, fish in general, pork, pasta, rice, potatoes, vegetables, stir fries, one pot meals, tray bakes, stews, (because I am in cold damp country), casseroles, – think that just about covers it.
Hi Nagi, Dozer and crew,
I once saw a show which did squid tubes stuffed with a mango salsa of sorts. Haven’t been able to find such a recipe when searching. Would love to see something along these flavors if you have some ideas?
OMG! Congrats!! I love your tips in the recipes; like using parm for an umami boost in Mexican corn salad (who’d a thunk!). I love your casual writing style like you’re talking to me. I love how your make seemingly complex restaurant/pub/coffee shop favourites accessible from home (curries; parma; salads; breakfast cookies). Oh, and Dozer. I love Dozer. Best of Luck!!
Congratulations!! I can’t wait to get one!
The info I want to be included in your book is;
– the Japanese knives and other cooking tools you recommend
– fish recipes (killer lemon butter sauce recipe is a MUST!)
– crispy pork roast recipe
– enchiladas recipe
– alternative ingredients you usually write in the note
– your travel diary in Japan and Tasmania and related recipes etc
Actually I want all the information in this blog into the recipe book! I’m not greedy but most followers must have same thoughts definitely 🙂
My favourite recipes on your website tend to be of the the saucy noodles variety – your stiry fried peanut sauce noodles are on high rotation in our house! It would also be helpful to have notes on which recipes are good for batch cooking and freeze/reheat well. Some low FODMAP options might be popular.
I love your Goan Fish Curry & your satay sauce. And there are many others but I’m going to sleep now!!
Exciting news! I would like to see entertaining-type dishes with make-ahead tips. Your notes (with substitution suggestions) are extremely helpful. Most of all, I love your suggestions of “what to serve with”. Menu-building (for me) is tedious and time-consuming. In the interests of space, nutrition info could be left out but I suspect I’m in the minority. Thank you for giving us our say and wishing you the best of luck. I can’t wait!
Coq au vin, Fish in white wine sauce, red velvet cupcakes, seafood platter, Thai food,
Madeleines, please save a little space for them
Hi Nagi,
What fantastic news, we are all so lucky to have you helping us to cook yummy food! I get very nervous having guests for dinner, I love having them but would REALLY appreciate a couple of sample menus I could make ahead or with minimal effort so we could all feel relaxed and have a great time. Thanks Nagi for all you do!
1. Congratulations!!!
2, I like your simple but tasty asian recipies. Then chicken, of course :)).
3. Do not forget ground beef!!!!!
Congratulations Nagi! You truly deserve every success, I can’t wait to get my hands on the book- your attention to detail and simple instructions make your recipes a fail-safe for me! Soo many great dishes, would be difficult to narrow it down! Best of luck! X
Congratulations to you!!! Would love easy recipes, your world’s easiest yeast bread, I have made countless times and comes out perfect each and every time. Also your ” dump and bake” fried rice. How kind of you to request ideas from the people ( me) that will be buying your book.
